Thandeka Daka is a passionate reader and community builder with a strong commitment to promoting knowledge-sharing and lifelong learning. She works in the nuclear field as a Nuclear and Radiation Safety Technologist, where her role focuses on ensuring security and protection, and she carries this same dedication into her love for literature and community engagement.
As the leader of the Livingstone Chapter of the Book Club, Thandeka Daka envisions creating a vibrant space where members can exchange ideas, discover diverse authors and connect through meaningful discussions. Her goal is to make the Livingstone Chapter not only a place for reading but also a platform for growth, dialogue and inspiration.
Beyond her professional work, she enjoys exploring books that spark curiosity, expand perspectives and encourage critical thinking. She believes that reading is a powerful tool for empowerment and transformation.
What excites me most about leading the chapter is the opportunity to create a space where professional women can connect, grow, and be inspired through reading and meaningful conversation. I would love seeing members share ideas, reflect on their personal and career journeys, and build genuine connections that extend beyond the pages of a book. Leading the chapter would allow me to foster a community of curiosity, learning and empowerment, where every member feels supported, challenged and motivated to explore new perspectives.
